Michael Redd returned to the NBA stage with the Phoenix Suns last night after being signed as a free agent.
Redd has been plagued by injuries for the last two seasons, forcing him to be sidelined for a total of 83 games over two years. A torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and torn medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his left knee coming only one year after another season ending injury caused many to believe Redd was on his way to an early retirement.
But it seems we were all wrong and Redd is back in the league doing what he does best–draining threes.
Redd’s stat line: 12 points, 1 assist, 1 steal, 4-9 FG, 3-7 3pt FG, 1-2 FT in 19 minutes
Welcome back Michael Redd.
